Volunteer Program

Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity Jefferson High School Construction Management Pathway Program students

With the Volunteer Program, Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity is able to provide its affordable housing through the construction labor provided by its volunteers. Volunteers at Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity donate their time and services in all areas, including: in-kind services, policy development, retail store operations, floor plan design and modification, resource development, family support services, faith relations, and financial management.

First time volunteer? Here’s what to expect from your first day on the build site!

What to expect:

  • We provide breakfast during the morning break and water for the build day
  • Our construction manager will let you know what the job is for that day and go over safety
  • Completion of the waiver is required which can be downloaded here.
  • Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty!
  • A usual volunteer build day starts at 8 am but times are a bit flexible and depend on your group’s availability
  • Any questions on site can be directed to the Construction Manager
    • Habitat work sites are an inclusive, and judgment free area. Don’t be afraid to ask questions ¬†about something if you are unsure of what to do!
  • We look forward to seeing you at the Build site!

For questions or for more information contact our Volunteer Coordinate Kaylae at Kaylae@greeleyhabitat.org.

Community Service:

We welcome individuals who need to serve some community service hours. Due to new policies, we will not be able to accept anyone who has a history of theft or violence, no matter the lack of severity of the case or who was actually at fault. If anyone is under the age of 18, they must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before they start their service.
Unfortunately, we do not accept anyone who is under the age of 17 unless a legal guardian is willing to work alongside the individual. If the person is under the age of 18 and has been legally emancipated, you must show documentation proving this before starting service.

We need a copy of the court documents stating the actual offense and charge. We also need a copy of a valid picture ID.
