Remodeling, cleaning out, down-sizing or just getting organized? Habitat for Humanity ReStore can help you de-clutter your home, work space or business. We put the proceeds from selling your donations to good use by building homes and hope in your community and around the world. Though each Habitat ReStore is unique, most accept donations of household goods, furniture, appliances and building materials.

Appliances: We will accept all appliances working order.

  • Bricks:New or used, must be clean.
  • Cabinets and bath vanities:New or used; cabinets must be intact and clean, with or without countertops.
  • Carpeting:New and used carpet that is in good condition only.
  • Countertops:Straight sections only with no holes.
  • Doors:Exterior, interior, wood, steel, and patio security doors, French, sliding glass.
  • Electrical:Rust free, new or like new components.  Switches plates, switches, fuses, breakers, conduit, and etc.
  • Fireplace Inserts:Working condition and not dented.
  • Furnaces:Electric or gas, not more than 8 years old.
  • Flooring:New hardwoods, ceramic tile, granite and marble, vinyl flooring (linoleum).
  • Furniture (household and office):Clean in good condition (no rips, tears, or stains).
  • Hardware:Nails, bolts, screws, door knobs and various hardware. Not rusted or broken.
  • HVAC:Ducts, fittings, outlets.
  • Insulation:Various types, R-13 and up.
  • Lighting:All types of working lighting.
  • Lumber:Minimum 4’ lengths, no scrap lumber, no nails or concrete on wood.
  • Mirrors:No cracks or chips.
  • Dishes and Home Decor
  • Plumbing:Bathtubs, sinks, low flow toilets, plumbing fixtures, clean shower   units, plumbing fittings. (call before donating to make sure we accept items)
  • Plywood:4×8 sheets, any thickness.
  • Shingles: New, various colors and styles.
  • Sheetrock:Minimum 4×8 or 4×4 sheets, any thickness.
  • Siding:New, all types of siding.
  • Tile:New
  • Tools:Power tools, hand tools, must be in working condition.
  • Water Heaters:Working order 
  • Windows:  Dual pane and vinyl windows.
  • Window Covering: blinds, drapes, or shades in good condition.
  • Most Metals for recycle.

*All items are subject to visual approval by staff.

What donations can the ReStore NOT accept?

  • Chemicals (All Types)
  • Televisions (Any Type)
  • Mattresses
  • Hideaway couches
  • Used Paint
  • Entertainment centers or desks that are made of particle board or composite wood
  • Hollow Core Doors

How do I go about donating an item?

If you have a donation that you’d like to make to the ReStore, you may bring it to the ReStore during ReStore hours,(8:30 to 4:00 Tues. through Sat. or you can call the Greeley ReStore at (970-352-1404)  to schedule a pick-up time.

Where do the proceeds from the sales go?

Proceeds earned from ReStore sales support Habitat For Humanity Weld County affiliate program costs.

Are my donations tax-deductible?

Your donation may be tax-deductible, depending on your individual situation. Please consult a tax professional and see this IRS publication for reference.

Does the ReStore place a value on the donation?

No, it is the donor’s responsibility to value the donation. A receipt acknowledging your donation will be provided to you at the time of the donation.

How can my business get involved?

Local businesses can contribute to the ReStore many ways, including: making a financial contribution, donating goods/materials, sponsoring a special event, placing an advertisement for or with the ReStore, volunteering at the ReStore, or shopping at the ReStore.
