Jefferson High School
Construction Pathway Program
An innovative Habitat/Educational partnership the Construction Pathway Program provides work-place readiness to non-traditional at-risk students.
The Jefferson High School Construction Pathway Program, or CPP, allows students to prepare for graduation by teaching them construction and life skills while focusing on core curriculum requirements for graduation.
From the foundation to building the home, and helping the families move in, these students learn valuable lessons which will help them as they move on into furthering their education or in preparation to enter the workforce, possibly into the construction sector which has a 60,000 job deficit in Colorado.
"A house was something I've never lived in until here recently. And so, I heard she was a single mother and my mom was a single mom... So, to know that I'm giving somebody a stable house where they can be happy... it's just a feeling that you can't get anywhere else."
-Jefferson High School CPP Student Braxton
"I took this class so I could help build for other people, but my house is falling apart and now I can fix it."
