30th Anniversary Breakfast

2017 Annual Breakfast at Christ Community Church

With over 400 guests, this year’s fundraising breakfast was one of the best in Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity history, raising enough money to fund a home for a local family in need. Dick Monfort, owner and CEO of the Colorado Rockies, knocked it out of the park, by emphasizing the excellent investment Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity is in our community. Also providing words of inspiration, Veteran James Hamm, Jefferson High School Construction Management Pathway Program student Braxton Shepard, as well as a moving video through the eyes of our Jefferson High School Construction Management Pathway Program Students.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended for supporting our mission to end poverty housing. The breakfast allowed the community to experience firsthand how their donations impacted the lives of our hard working Habitat partner families.

Thank you to our breakfast sponsors without whom, the event would not have been possible! Special appreciation to Christ Community Church and their video producer Tony Garza for their contribution and for underwriting our amazing signature Greeley Habitat event.

Sincere appreciation to all of our generous sponsors!

Thank you to our Breakfast Sponsors!

30 Years Building on Faith

  • GAHFH built 130 homes Since 1987
  • 1 in 4 people spend over 50% of their pretax income on housing, leaving precious little for other items like groceries, health care or transportation. Our homeowners pay an affordable mortgage that does not exceed 30% of their income.
  • Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity families have paid over $200,000 in property taxes over the last 5 years.
  • Habitat North is the largest single family Habitat development west of the Mississippi.
  • Providing pathways out of poverty for generations through affordable homeownership opportunities.
  • GAHFH’s Jefferson High School Construction Management Pathway Program is the first program of its kind for Habitat for Humanity. 50 HS students are building the first two homes in GAHFH’s new 14 home development, Crestview.
  • GAHFH facilitated the 1st Veteran’s Build for Habitat for Humanity in the state of Colorado , which closed on Veteran’s Day 2016.
    • A 2nd veteran family build will be completed in the summer of 2017.
  • GAHFH uses 3 family selection criteria; need for safe, decent housing, ability to repay a mortgage, and a willingness to partner with the organization.
  • Home ownership creates strength, stability and self-reliance.
  • Use of government assistance declines notably among home owners vs. renters.
