The ReStore
What is a ReStore, and how does it work?
A program used by GAHFH (and other Habitat affiliates) to raise funds and increase awareness about the need for affordable housing in our community. Donors make in-kind contributions of new or gently used items. These items are then sold to the general public at a discounted rate. Dollars generated are then used to build Habitat homes in our community.
How the ReStore benefits the donor
The ReStore provides a service to donors by giving them the opportunity to turn their excess or gently used items into in-kind contributions. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
How the ReStore benefits the environment
By encouraging potential donors to reuse and recycle unwanted goods, the ReStore conserves landfill space, thereby reducing waste-a benefit for all!
How the ReStore benefits the patron
Quite simply, the store allows the store patron to purchase quality goods at a reduced cost.
