Colorado Gives Day Logo

The second annual Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, December 6, 2011. In its initial year, Coloradans raised 8.7 million dollars in 24 hours for nearly three dozen nonprofit organizations.

2011 will mark the first year that Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity will participate in Colorado Gives Day. Our goal is to raise $10,000 and if that number is acheived a local donor has agree to match it.

Now in our 25th year, contributions received during Colorado Gives Day will go toward the building of a Silver Anniversary Home in 2012.

To participate go to:
www.habitatcolorado.org
Click on the green donate ribbon in the upper right corner (this will take you to the Giving First website)
Indicate in the special instructions box "Greeley" to direct the donation to Greeley Habitat

You may schedule your donation NOW for December 6th or follow these instruction on December 6th to donate as well!

In addtion to the regular tax deduction, gifts of $100 or more are eligible for a tax credit of 25% through the Enterprise Zone. Visit the Enterprise Zone page to learn more about this great program!

More than 450 teams of volunteers have traveled to build homes around the world.

In 2011, Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity will provide support to help build up to164 more Thrivent Builds homes in the United States and to send up to 100 additional teams to help build homes with families in other countries and in select U.S. locations. Teams will help build entire communities in El Salvador and the Gulf Coast.

In 2011, Thrivent Builds will partner with GAHFH to fully rehabilitate two foreclosed homes.  These projects will be Thrivent’s first full rehabilitation projects funded in the state of Colorado and will be done in partnership with the Monfort  Family Foundation and the City of Greeley.
